Tralee Rose, under the guidance of top jockey Kerrin McEvoy, defeated Tragic by a length with Ocean's Thirteen back in third spot in the 1700-metre race.
Wilde said it was a big thrill to have a winner at Flemington in cup week.
"The win will give the team at home a boost," the Warrnambool-based trainer said.
"I think Tralee Rose has got a really bright future. I think the further she goes the better she's going to get. She was a really late maturing horse so she's got a lot to look forward to.

"She got a really good ride from Kerrin, he made good use of that gate (two). She took a little while to get into gear at the top of the straight.
"She's green still but I'm really excited to see where she can land."
McEvoy said the lightly-raced filly showed promise.
"Tralee Rose won nicely last time and she did the same today," the Melbourne Cup-winning jockey said.
"Tralee Rose was nice and fresh going to the gates so I thought she was feeling really well. That's how she races. She popped out and travelled nicely for me.
"There was a tiny bit of a flat spot but I like way she picked up for me in the last furlong-and-a-half."
From her six starts Tralee Rose has won two races.
