After losing their first two twenty20s on Monday, the Waves turned their fortunes around with a four-run win against the Northern Falcons in the Renegades League.
Georgia Baker-Miller top scored with 17 to help the Waves to 94.
Alice Cann (2-11) and Mortlake's Annabelle Glossop (2-12) picked up two wickets each as the Waves kept the Falcons to 90.

Coach Grace Lee said opening batter and bowler Lila Wilkinson, who plays for Merrivale, was having a fantastic tournament.
"She has opened each batting innings and made 20 to 30 runs consistently," she said.
"She's also been a real champion with the ball."
Wilkinson has hit scores of 36, 26, 10 and 25.
The opening bowler also claimed 3-11 against Western Spirit on Monday.
Lee said joint captain Ruby Couch, who is aligned with Nestles, had been building partnerships and rotating the strike well.
Allansford's Georgia Rea and Jasmine Anderson have been bowling consistently with three wickets between them.
The Waves have a 40-over match against Barwon Rockets on Wednesday.
The Waves under 17 girls team, which has won its three twenty20s, also has a 40-over clash on Wednesday against Barwon at Geelong.
