The Warrnambool Croquet Club is calling for last-minute entries to the Association Croquet Championships, which it will host next week.
The three-day event, which has the option of a fourth day, will begin on Monday.
Warrnambool Croquet Club publicity officer John Pattison said players from Melbourne, interstate and the Western District were set to play in the prestigious competition.
Tactics, attacking and defensive play and some exquisite skills will be on display.

Entries close on Wednesday, January 8.
Pattison urged interested players to contact the club via Facebook or online at warrnamboolcroquetclub.com.
He said the club was also on the hunt for social golf croquet players.

"People are more than welcome to play this fun game at the club," Pattison said.
"There's a small charge for players but it's a lot of fun for all ages.
"Croquet is the new ball game in town."
Pattison said those interested in golf croquet could also make bookings via the club's Facebook page.
