The 15-year-old, from Allansford Gators, is excited to be representing the Warrnambool and District Cricket Association for the third year in a row.
The Warrnambool College year 10 student enjoys the challenge of playing cricket at a higher level.
"It's fun playing against people at your level and getting the chance to mix with different people," he said.
"It's better because you get better competition and harder games."

Hewson has been playing under 17s and division three for the Gators this season with best figures of 3-7.
The right-arm off-spinner said his under 17s side had been competitive this season.
"We just missed out on twenty20 finals but we've got a pretty good group and there's a lot of good people there," he said.
This week Hewson's representative team will play three 50 over matches and two twenty20 games before finals.
Warrnambool Blue made a rocky start to its Country Week campaign at Jones Oval on Monday.
Colac Rep opener Will Ruddell made a century (108) and Rani Jamieson a half-century as the visitors posted 8-218.
Blue only managed 75 in return with Ben Conboy top-scoring (14).
Hewson bowled four overs for 35 runs and did not bat because the team has 13 players.
His teammates Campbell Love, Conboy and Will White picked up a couple of wickets each.
Blue will look to turn its fortunes around against South West Rep on Tuesday at Davidson Oval.
Meanwhile, Warrnambool White fell short in its opening match against Horsham Rep at Jetty Flat.
Horsham posted 177 from its 50 overs.
Dennington batsman Harry Noonan's 38 helped White reach 144.
Willem Douglas (26) and Tom Knight (22) also chipped in.
White plays Wimmera Mallee Rep at Brierly on Tuesday.
Warrnambool Gold was helped to victory by a Fletcher Cozens half-century against South West Rep at Terang.
The West Warrnambool all-rounder made 51 while fellow West Warrnambool players Joe Nyikos (34) and Jonah Bowles (37) contributed well.
Gold will face Hamilton Rep on Tuesday at Avery's Paddock.
Portland Rep's Lachie Warburton hit 56 and took 4-16 as his team proved too strong for Wimmera Mallee Rep on Monday.
The five-day tournament wraps up with a finals day on Friday.
