Fishing: The Shipwreck Coast Fishing Classic conducts catch weigh-ins at the breakwater each day from 7pm. Competition closes January 12 with prizes awarded at the Civic Green.
Dinosaurs: Jurassic Creatures will continue to roar at Lake Pertobe until January 27.
Flagstaff Hill: Summer by the Sea School Holiday Program hosts children’s activities daily at 10am and 2pm at Warrnambool’s Flagstaff Hill Maritime Village.
Art: Paul Jennings’ UNREAL Exhibition will run throughout the school holidays at the Warrnambool Art Gallery.
January 3
Beachfest: Bird watching walk around Lake Pertobe from 9am. Storytime on the Green for children aged 3 to 6 years from 11am on Warrnambool’s Civic Green. Come ‘n’ try touch footy at McGennans Beach from 11am to 1pm. Windsock jelly fish craft, 11am to 2.30pm and 2.30pm to 4pm, Pavilion Cafe. A Cup of Groove freestyle dance session 7pm to 8pm, Mozart Hall .
Moyneyana: Rise and Shine Yoga, East Beach Port Fairy from 6.30am to 7.30am, or Port Fairy RSL Club 9am to 10.30am. The Mik Maks, Fiddler’s Green from 11am and 2pm. Childrens’ yoga is on from 2pm at East Beach.
January 4
Writing: ‘Become an UNREAL Author’ 10am to 11am, Warrnambool Art Gallery.
Beachfest: Kids coastal ramble, Thunder Point at 10am to 12.30pm. Rhyme time for children aged under 3 years from 10.30am, Warrnambool Library. Summer sew activity at the Pavilion Cafe from 11am to 2pm. Beach netball at McGennans Beach from 11am to 3pm. Beach Soccer at McGennans Beach from 1pm to 3pm. Come and try fishing off the Warrnambool Breakwater from 4.30pm to 7pm. Karaoke at Lake Pertobe from 5pm to 8.30pm.
Laneway: The Little Laneway Liebig Festival. Street food, live music, a movie wall, and drinks from Hairy Goat, Fishtales Cafe, Bojangles and The Whalers from 5pm to 11.30pm.
Markets: Summer night markets 4.30pm to 8.30pm, Lake Pertobe.
Outdoor Cinema: The Greatest Showman, following the Summer night markets, screening from 8pm.
January 5
Beachfest: Beach Yoga at the Pavilion Cafe from 9am to 10am. Lake Pertobe discovery guided walk from 9.30am to 11am, departing from the mini golf. Pop-up promenade artist Ricky Schembri outside the Pavilion Cafe 11am to 1pm. Come and try ultimate frisbee from 1pm to 3pm at McGennans Beach. Sundown Session from 4pm to 8pm, Pavilion Cafe. Warrnambool Greyhound Racing Seaside Festival from 5.30pm.
Crate Expectations: Roaming robotic sculpture around the foreshore and hidden laneways of Warrnambool.
Art: NGV Kids on Tour 2019 – Incredible Illusions from 9.30am to 10.30am, Warrnambool Art Gallery.
Moyneyana: Port Fairy celtic day including a street parade, pipe bands and highland dancers from 10am to 3pm, Fiddlers Green. Park run returns to South Beach at 7.50am. The weekly market at Railway Place from 8.30am to 2pm. Shipwreck Coast Swim Series race one, East Beach Port Fairy at 11am. Port Fairy Lighthouse on Griffiths Island is open from 10.30am to 4pm.

January 6
Beachfest: Beach yoga at Stingray Bay from 9am to 10am. Children aged over ten years can learn how to make a fishing vessel at the Pavilion Cafe from 10am to 3pm. Big bash beach cricket at McGennans Beach from 11am to 3pm. Snags on the Sand free barbecue at McGennans Beach from 12 noon.
Moyneyana: Summertime yoga at 10am at Port Fairy RSL. The Port Fairy Lighthouse on Griffiths Island is open from 10.30am to 4.30pm. Concert on Fiddlers Green, Andrea West from 1pm to 2pm, Nancie Schipper from 3pm to 4pm.
Run: Warrnambool's annual Surf 'T' Surf Fun Run Walk. Participants run or walk 10, 6 or 3kms.
Horse racing: Koroit Cup at the Warrnambool Racecourse. The family-friendly event will include children’s activities, rides, entertainment and live music from 11am.
Artist: Pop up Promenade art activity, Jimmi Buscombe 11am and 1pm, Pavilion Cafe.
Vibes: Tunes in the Dunes at McGennans Beach, 11am and 3pm.
