Kings Full is entered for Friday's Coleraine Cup over 1800 metres and a 2400-metre restricted race at Mornington on Sunday.
Purcell said the lightly-raced seven-year-old is ready to win following a third placing at his last start at Flemington.
"I'll make a decision where Kings Full runs on Friday morning," he told The Standard.
"I was very happy with his last run at Flemington. He's got his foot on the till after that effort. We've got the two options, there are pluses and minuses in both races.
Listen to the latest episode of our weekly podcast The Main Break:
"I'm a bit worried about the tight turning track at Coleraine but on the other hand I think he's well weighted and the Coleraine Cup is a bit weaker then Sunday's race at Mornington.
"I'm sure Kings Full will appreciate the bigger track at Mornington. I've been looking at speed maps for both races since the acceptors came out trying to work out which way to go for his next run."
Jockey Harry Grace was booked to ride Kings Full at Coleraine while apprentice hoop Will Price will have the ride if he runs at Mornington.
Meanwhile, Friday night sees racing returning under lights at Moonee Valley after the winter break.
The feature race on the eight-event program is the group one $1 million Moir Stakes over 1000 metres.
Another feature is the $200,000 JRA Cup with the top training combination of Ciaron Maher and David Eustace saddling up Al Galayel.
Top jockey John Allen has been engaged for the ride on Al Galayel in the 2040-metre race.
