The seaside club will meet Timboon Maroon at City Memorial in the elimination final on Tuesday.
The grand final - in three weeks' time - is scheduled for Port Fairy.
Player Bob Mallett, a former club president, said the club was embracing the cliché one week at a time.
"It would be great if we could get there," he said.
"It is good to see smaller clubs such as Port Fairy and Timboon in the finals and hopefully either team can make some inroads."
Mallett said Port Fairy had made the top-four through familiarity.
Listen to the latest episode of our weekly podcast The Booletin and Beyond:
"We've had a settled lot of players all year and very good harmony in the team," he said.
"Getting to know each other's bowls and good and bad habits, I think that helps in the long run."
Mallett said Port Fairy had more male players in its midweek sides than previous years. It has 36 Tuesday pennant players across three divisions and 27 are men.
"There's more men playing because of the fact the numbers of women in the smaller clubs is declining," he said.
"To fill all the divisions, you have play men."
Port Fairy has four women in its 12-person division one Tuesday pennant team - Pam Gibb, Robyn Purcell, Linda Creek and Hilary Hamilton.
Mallett said the club would love for more female players to join its ranks.
