It comes after the Herald Sun Tour and the Women's Herald Sun Tour were postponed until February 2022 on Friday. They are normally held in February each year.
Wilson said there was no change to the Melbourne to Warrnambool Cycling Classic at this stage.
"There's no pressure on us to make a decision right now," he said.
"We think provided we give the cyclists sufficient notice then we'll stay the course as long as we can."

The chairman has strong faith in the team running the historic event.
"We've got a well-oiled machine, a good team managing the effort in Karin Jones," he said.
Wilson said the committee would be flexible if forced to adjust due to the coronavirus pandemic.
"At this stage our aim is to run in February, worse case scenario is we've still got another 10 months to take a pick from," he said.

Herald Sun Tour chairman Tom Salom explained the decision to postpone was due to the uncertainty and unpredictability of the pandemic.
"As Australia's oldest cycling stage race, we have not taken this decision lightly, however the high level of uncertainty created by the current COVID-19 environment in Victoria presents too many challenges to proceed with the 2021 events," he said in a media release.
"We appreciate the support of Visit Victoria and Cycling Australia, who understand the rationale behind our decision and have indicated their continued support for both events, and for the return of the events to the cycling calendar in 2022."
