At his morning press conference Premier Daniel Andrews said there were 232 active cases in regional Victoria, compared to last Thursday when there were 295 active cases in regional Victoria.

"That number continues to fall and that is the direct product of those localised public health teams that we've stood up, the good work of regional Victorians right across regional and country Victoria and of course people coming forward and getting tested," he said.

"So we're very very grateful to all of those regional Victorians who, even with the mildest symptoms, have come forward and got tested, and that applies to every single Victorian regardless of your postcode."

Mr Andrews said there had been 18,330 confirmed cases of coronavirus in Victoria.

"That's 116 new cases since our update yesterday," he said.

"I'm saddened to say there are 430 Victorians who have lost their life to this global pandemic, that is an increase of 15 since yesterday's report.

"Of course our thoughts and prayers and best wishes are with each of those families this will be an incredible difficult time for them."

Mr Andrews said all of the 15 deaths were linked to aged care outbreaks.

He said there were 629 Victorians in hospital and 31 of those were in intensive care.

He said there had been more than 2.1 million test results recieved including 14,811 since Sunday.

"There are 3731 active cases across Victoria," he said.

Health Minister Jenny Mikakos said the government would also be making more localised data on coronavirus cases available via the DHHS website later today.

Earlier: There have been 116 new cases of coronavirus detected in Victoria overnight.

The Department of Health and Human Services said sadly 15 people had died in the past 24 hours due to COVID-19.

More information, including local government data, will be released by the state government later today.

Yesterday the DHHS reported there were seven active cases of coronavirus in Warrnambool.

The number of active cases in Glenelg dropped from four on Saturday to two on Sunday.

According to the DHHS there were 12 active cases in the Colac Otway Shire on Sunday, compared to 13 on Saturday.

On Saturday, Premier Daniel Andrews urged Victorians to get tested if they had any symptoms.

"I would just say to anybody who has symptoms, don't put off getting tested because it is cold and wet," he said.

"Please, please come forward and get tested over the course of the weekend."

He said it was pleasing to see so many people coming forward and getting tested.

"Even if you have mild symptoms, please come forward and get tested, then stay at home to wait for your results. It's a really important contribution that you can make to protect your family, every family and indeed to get us to the other side of this quicker."
