It's how it's been for as long as the multi-talented teenager can remember.
Now, for the first time, he will play seniors in both sports in the one calendar year.
Lehmann, 18, will make his Hampden league debut for Terang Mortlake against Portland at Hanlon Park on Saturday.
It comes just two months after the medium pacer represented Mortlake in the South West Cricket division one grand final.
Lehmann said cricket finals took priority during football pre-season but he was now focused on becoming a consistent senior player for the Bloods, who are chasing their first win after six straight losses.

"I am a small forward and will try and crumb off the full-forward and kick some goals," he said.
"I had a pretty average start to the year but have strung a few good games together (in the under 18s) the last few weeks."
Lehmann, who is studying year 12 at Mortlake College and hopes to start a trade next year, was told of his impending debut at training on Thursday night.
"It was a good experience (hearing my name called out)," he said. "I've been waiting for a while, so it's good to get a chance."
Terang Mortlake coach Michael Sargeant said Lehmann "was a really good left-footer who has a fair bit of class and is hard at it".
