The Demon said the whole community was eager to see the club go further into September action under new playing-coach Marcus Hickey after falling against Kolora-Noorat in the first semi-final last Warrnambool and District league season.
"We have been in the same position for the past two years," he said.
"There is always the next step. The boys want it, the club wants it and the town wants it."
Osborne was pivotal in the Demons' 22-point victory over Panmure to finish with four goals in his return to action after a leg injury ruined his 2018 season.
When the injury occurred in round 13 last season, The Standard reported that Osborne was lucky to escape suffering a broken leg.
The Demon goal-kicker said he was pleased to tick off his return to the team.
"It's was pretty good for the first game of the year," he said.
"It's been a while since I've had a kick so it was good to get the score on the board and get the win. "
Osborne said the playing group had adjusted to Hickey taking over the coaching reigns from Mick Hunt, who led the side for three years.
"'Barney' (Hickey) has been a leader of the club for a while now," he said.
"He has just stepped in and took on from what he had been doing. He wants the boys to play good, high pressure footy and get the score on the board."
