In an elite field the 17-year-old Modern Pentathlete won the Coach’s Technical Sports, Leadership awards before taking home the Melbourne-based school's prestigious Sports Directors award.
The hotly contested award honours a student who shows outstanding achievement in sporting results while maintaining life balance and academic performance throughout the year.
The Coach’s Technical Sports award recognises an athlete who has shown great technical ability in their chosen sport.
As for the Leadership award, Watt was nominated by the school's physical preparation staff after she showed outstanding leadership behaviours and qualities during various technical training camps and excursions throughout 2018.
An embarrassed Watt said he was surprised by the recognition but felt honoured to receive the awards.
“All I wanted to do was blend in at the academy," she said.
But there is no time for Watt to rest Watt as she heads to Queensland to defend her National title this weekend before preparing for her European tour.
The teenager will compete at the Junior World Championships in Poland and the Youth World Championships in Bulgaria in July.
