That is the situation facing Warrnambool EKB Fitness and Aerobics athletes Emily Daniels and Sophie Bellman but if it means another shot at a world title in the Netherlands then they will raise the roof to get there.
Bellman, 22, and Daniels, 25, will compete in the Adult Pairs section of the FISAF International World Championships in Leiden from October 16 to 20.
But before they jet off for the Dutch spring weather they are doing a bit of fundraising for their trip.
“We have a few fundraisers coming up with a trivia night that was on Wednesday and a few silent auctions,” Bellman said.
“We have some footy jumpers including a signed 2018 Richmond team jumper up for auction.
“We are trying to raise as much as we can as the trip is all self-funded.”
Bellman, who made her fifth Australian team in a row and sixth overall, said her and Geelong-based teammate Daniels, who is off to her 11th world titles, were eager to represent their country again.
The silent auction of the Richmond jumper ends on Friday night on the EKB Fitness and Aerobics Facebook page.
The current highest bid is Micah Davies who has a bid at $455.
Daniels, who works as a Police officer, said her and Bellman had been working hard to prepare for the competition.
“Training has been going really well,” she said.
“We have been doing lots of routine, strength and flexibility training.”
