The pair gained selection after scoring a silver medal at last weekend’s FISAF National Championships in Brisbane in the adult international pairs category.
Bellman, who made her fifth Australian team in a row and sixth overall, said her and Geelong-based teammate Daniels, who is off to her 11th world titles, were eager to represent their country again.
The 22-year-old said the pair were also excited about their new coach, Naringal export Brenton Andreoli.
"We have a new coach this year in Brenton and we have him teaching us our routines and he is teaching us some new things he has learnt over in the Czech Republic,” Bellman said. “He is teaching us different things that haven’t really been done over here in Australia. It’s good to have something that we haven’t really focused on before.”
Bellman is hopeful they can do well at the world titles.
“Ideally we would like to win or really like to medal,” she said. “It’s the first year that this section has been at worlds so it would be fun to get in there and try something different.”
The silver was not the only strong performance from Bellman and Daniels, who also finished sixth and fourth in the international adult individual event. Daniels also won a special award for her contribution to the sport over the past 18 years.
Fellow EKB members Alana Bellman (seventh, international junior individual) Maddison Drake and Georgia Dalton (seventh and eighth, national cadet advanced individual), Emily Janssen and Eva Joseph (sixth, national cadet pairs), Mia McDowall and Charli Toone (fourth, national junior pair) and Sophie Grist and Ellie Lloyd (fourth, national mini pair) also performed well.
