A Camperdown man has been remanded in custody until May 20 charged with a shooting/ramming incident in Cobden.
Josh Bond, 26, appeared in the Warrnambool Magistrates Court on Monday, April 29.
The court was told he had an injury to his buttocks and stitches to a wound on his nose needed to be taken out.
There was an interim intervention order granted to protect a Cobden woman aged in her 30s.
He and a co-accused are expected to be back in court on May 20.
The co-accused has consented to a safe contact IVO being granted in relation to the same woman and that's been adjourned for further hearing on the next court date.
On Friday, 1pm:
A wanted 26-year-old Camperdown man is in the Warrnambool Base Hospital with an unexplained stab wound to his buttocks.
Camperdown police were called to a dispute in Wall Street about 8pm on Thursday, April 25.
There they found the Camperdown man wanted in relation to a vehicle ramming and shots fired incident in Cobden early on Wednesday morning.
The man was arrested and transported to the Warrnambool Base Hospital with a wound to his buttocks.
He has been assessed and treated and is currently still in the Warrnambool Base Hospital.
That man is not assisting police with their inquiries.
It's expected he will be charged with the same conduct and firearm charges as a 40-year-old Cobden man.
The Cobden man appeared briefly in Warrnambool Magistrates Court on Friday charged with reckless conduct endangering life, two counts of reckless conduct endangering serious injury, being a prohibited person using a firearm, assault and driving in a dangerous manner.
The charges carry a maximum penalty of 10 years' imprisonment.
The man did not apply for bail and was remanded in custody. He will appear in court again on April 29.
The Camperdown man will also appear in court but whether that's today or Monday will depend on when he's released from hospital.
Police alleged a silver Ford sedan, carrying two men, rammed a car on Adams Street on Wednesday at 4.20am.
One of the men inside the silver Ford allegedly fired shots at the other car.
The female driver of the second vehicle, aged in her 30s, was not physically injured.
The silver sedan fled the scene and was located burnt out on Shenfields Lane a short time later.
With assistance from the air wing, police searched the area and arrested the Cobden man on Mitchell Street.
An extensive search, involving members of the elite Victoria Police critical incident response team, was then conducted for the Camperdown man and also the firearm used in the incident.
The investigation under the control of the Warrnambool-based family violence unit will continue today, focusing on finding the firearm.

With assistance from the Air Wing, police searched the area and arrested a man on Mitchell Street.
The 40-year-old Cobden man was subsequently charged with reckless conduct endanger life, two counts of reckless conduct endanger serious injury, prohibited person use firearm, assault and driving manner dangerous.
The charges carry a maximum penalty of 10 years' jail.
The man will appear at Warrnambool Magistrates' Court on Friday, April 26.
One man remains outstanding and investigations are ongoing.
The parties are believed to be known to each other.
A police spokeswoman said investigators believe it was a targeted incident.

An argument between parties known to each other spiralled into a vehicle ramming and shots being fired in Cobden early Wednesday morning, April 24.
Police arrested a 40-year-old Cobden man after he allegedly rammed another vehicle on Mitchell Street about 4.20am Wednesday morning, before shots were fired.
The female driver of the other vehicle - a 31-year-old Cobden woman - continued driving to Adams Street, where further shots were allegedly fired.
There were no physical injuries.
It's understood the 40 year old male was with another male known to him and the female victim.
The two men fled the scene in the car, which was located burnt out on Shenfields Lane a short time later.
With assistance from the VicPol air wing, police searched the area.
A 40-year-old Cobden man was arrested on Mitchell Street.
On Wednesday afternoon he was assisting police with their inquiries.
Police are continuing to search for the other male offender and the firearm that was discharged.
Specialist police officers, including the critical response unit members, have been involved in the manhunt.
The Warrnambool-based family violence unit is expected to take over carriage of the investigation.
A Country Fire Authority spokesman said two CFA units, from Cobden and Jancourt, responded to a car fire on Shenfields Lane in Cobden at 11.48am.
Crews discovered some oil on the road.
The car fire was deemed under control at 12.16pm and safe at 12:30pm.

Police have arrested a man after an alleged ramming where shots were fired in Cobden overnight on Wednesday, April 24.
Victoria Police media liaison said it was alleged a car rammed another vehicle on Mitchell Street about 4.20am this morning, before shots were fired.
The female driver of the other vehicle continued driving to Adams Street, where further shots were allegedly fired.
There were no physical injuries.
The two men fled the scene in the car, which was located burnt out on Shenfields Lane a short time later.
With assistance from the VicPol air wing, police searched the area.
A 40-year-old Cobden man was arrested on Mitchell Street.
He is assisting police with their enquiries.
Police are continuing to search for the other male offender.
It is understood the situation is ongoing and specialist police officers are involved.
