Daniel O’Keeffe disappeared from his parents’ Highton home on the morning of July 15 without his medication, wallet or spare clothing.
There have been unconfirmed sightings in the Colac region as well as the Dandenongs and southern New South Wales, but nothing of substance.
His father, Des O’Keeffe, told The Standard yesterday the family was still hopeful Daniel would be found alive and may be sheltering on a rural property.
“He just vanished and the family and friends have done everything possible to look for him,” Mr O’Keeffe snr said.
“Daniel is reasonably resourceful, but is without his medication which helped him cope with depression.
“He didn’t take extra clothing or food from the house.
“We hope he’s sheltering somewhere.”
Daniel is 180 centimetres tall with brown hair and hazel eyes. He was last seen wearing a grey hooded jumper and Ugg boots.
Anyone with information is urged to contact police through 000.
