The Timboon-based footballer, who is aligned with South Warrnambool's Western Victoria Female Football League side, was unveiled in the Greater Western Victoria Rebels' 36-strong squad on Monday.
Jones will play alongside Roosters teammate Rosie Pickles while three Hamilton Kangaroos talents - Paige Kissel, Jedah Huf and Jessica Rentsch - will also feature.
The 17-year-old showed her wares at the NAB League testing day on Sunday - her first official event as a Rebels player - and is still in disbelief of the opportunity before her.
"It's pretty surreal. From the moment they said I was in up until now, I'm still pretty unsure how it happened," she laughed.

"It's so cool seeing all the recruiters and staff that work in it. It's all proper across the boys and girls programs.
"It's pretty special to see all the effort that goes into it and to be a part of it."
Jones started playing just three years ago at Timboon Demons. She moved to Friendly Societies Park when the Demons' ceased to field a female side and hasn't looked back.
"They've been really, really welcoming and amazing as there was about six or seven of us that came over," she said.
"I've only really had two seasons of footy. I've played the majority in the middle at South but I'm not sure what position I'll play with the Rebels just yet.
IN OTHER NEWS:
"I don't know about game time yet or anything so it'll be interesting to see where they put me (at the Rebels). Midfield just seems to be where I fit in the team (at South)."
As for her ambitions in footy? The soon-to-be year 12 student is keeping an open mind.
"I'd always like to go as far as I can before I sort of get told 'this is as far as you can go'," she said.
"I suppose going into this Rebels squad is going to open up a lot more opportunities and than what I thought I'd have.
"I suppose they'll help me train and become a better footballer and once that's in motion you never know what could happen."
