CFA district 4 regional duty coordinator Andrew Barry said the Milltown alarm was raised just before 8am with a tractor on fire.
That incident has since been brought under control at Three Waterholes Road, north-east of Heywood, after two units attended.
About 7.15am there was an alert after pine waste rekindled near Strathdownie.
"Forestry Industry Brigades and CFA units have managed to contain that fire to about 200 metres by 20 metres," Mr Barry said.
The ignited material is pine slash, which is pine bark and the refuse from processing, which is piled into windrows and burnt.
Fire authorities are also on the lookout for lightning which may head the cold front expected to cross the south-west this morning.
