Finishing second-last in 2018 and last in 2017, the club’s open side hasn’t played finals since 2015.
But Bloods coach Lisa Arundell said her young outfit had got an injection of experience over the pre-season.
Melissa Burt joins from the Warrnambool and District league’s Dennington, while former Kolara-Noorat centre Emma Lucas returns, along with Aimee Moloney.
Arundell said Burt, who would play both goals and defence, had already made an impact on the squad.
“Melissa has shown some great upper body strength,” she said.
“And I'm quite sure she'll end up being the leader on the court, because she's got the ball skills and netball knowledge.
“So she's going to be an absolute bonus to our team.”
But Arundell said Moloney, a former coach herself, would also help buoy the developing Bloods side.
“She's got that steady play about her, which is fantastic, because we were a little erratic last year,” Arundell said.
Arundell said Lucas had a “nice, free-flowing” game and would slot right back into the Bloods’ defence.
She said putting these recruits alongside the developing Maddi Chesshire, May Suhan, Grace Wareham and Alice Tanner made a finals berth possible.
“I think it's the goal of any club to make the top five,” she said.
“You're not in the competition to miss out.
“We are very much an untested team and I'm looking forward to finding out where we sit.”
