Appeal: The MacKillop Family Services kicks off its Christmas Appeal collecting gifts for south-west children who cannot celebrate the festive season with family for a variety of reasons. Donations can be dropped at the Lava Street site until December 16.
School: Warrnambool’s King’s College are hosting their annual community fair from 10am to 2pm. The theme of this year’s fundraising event is Alice in Wonderland and includes showbags, rides, carnival games and food.
Artisan: The 12 Apostles Food Artisans are hosting their third Timboon Artisan Festival on Saturday. The boutique food artisan festival will be held on the lawn area in front of the Timboon Railway Shed Distillery from 11am till 4pm.
Camperdown: Acclaimed bluegrass and blues mandolin musician Mike Compton is performing at The Courthouse Camperdown. A workshop will begin at 4pm with a concert from 7pm.
Christmas: Fresh real Christmas trees are available at the Gateway Plaza Carpark from Saturday with part-proceeds going to the Salvation Army Christmas Appeal.
Penshurst: Sipping on a glass of wine and eating cheese while browsing paintings and antiques would sound like time well spent for many people. Nibbling on a piece of Brie you might notice a paper mache clown, a blue and white china pot or a ceramic dodo bird. Small town Penshurst is about to get a cultural hit with new pop up shop Black Door open 11am to 5pm on Saturday and Sunday.
Music: The Music Homestead on the outskirts of Mortlake are hosting a Let’s Talk fundraiser on Saturday from 5pm. The event will include a vintage car display, barbecue and live music from local musicians with all proceeds going to the Let’s Talk Foundation.

Children: The Warrnambool Symphony Orchestra is presenting their annual Children’s Concert at the Lighthouse Theatre with two performances on Sunday. Live music, singers, dancers and Dr Nick the Magician will entertain children of all ages at 2pm and 4pm.
CWA: The Dunkeld and District CWA branch are celebrating 90 years of CWA Victoria with a high tea at their clubrooms from 12noon to 3pm.
Strawberries: St Johns Anglican Church in Port Fairy are hosting a Strawberry Fete on Sunday from 10am.

WEDNESDAY
Pageant: The Gen-U Theatre Worx Christmas Pageant will be held at Warrnambool’s Lighthouse Theatre on Wednesday night from 6pm. The group of performers with disabilities from across the south-west will showcase their talents on stage in a two-hour show of comedy, dance and song.
Theatre: The Italian Tenors will be performing at the Lighthouse Theatre from 8pm.
Film: The F Project Cinema are screening the New Zealand 2017 documentary No Ordinary Sheila at Warrnambool’s Mozart Hall from 7.30pm.
Music: The foyer bar at the Loft will be open with music from Richard Tankard.
