Crossley: St Brigid’s Hall in Crossley will be hosting ‘Fifteen Minutes of Fame’ on Friday night. The family-friendly event will include hot food, drinks and performances from local musical talents from 6.30pm to 11.30pm.
Theatre: Warrnambool’s Lighthouse Theatre is hosting a 2 hour-45 minute show with psychic-medium Peter Williams from 7pm. Williams will demonstrate his ability to contact and communicate with passed loved ones.
SATURDAY
Yacht: The Warrnambool Yacht Club is hosting its annual two-day regatta including off beach catamarans, monohulls and trailerable yachts from 9am Saturday to 5pm Sunday from its Viaduct Road address.
Netball: Netball Victoria’s Beach Netball is at the Port Campbell foreshore on Saturday. The barefoot, 4 to 7 person team event will run from 8am to 4pm with a barbecue for all participants.
Timboon: Timboon Parkrun is on Saturday from 7.30am till 9am at the Timboon-Camperdown Rail Trail.
Dance: Old Time Dancing and Scottish Country Dancing at Warrnambool’s Anglican Church on Koroit Street, 8pm, supper provided, casual dress.
Terang: The Terang Market Day will be held from 9am to 1pm at the corner of Thompson Street and Bourkes Road at the All Saints church.
Yoga: Partake in a free half-hour session of Laughter Yoga from 9:30am to 10am at Warrnambool’s Lake Pertobe near the mini golf.
Heytesbury: The Heytesbury Agricultural Show is on Saturday from 9.30am till 4pm at the Simpson Recreation Reserve. The family-friendly event will include cattle, sheep and horse displays, craft exhibitions, dog jumping trials, tractor pulling, vintage engines, rides, car show and shine, hot food, children’s activities and an array of market stalls.
Music: Macarthur’s Suffoir Vineyard will host the fourth Music in the Vines event on Saturday from The family-friendly event showcases local food and wines from the Henty wine region between 11am and 11pm. This year’s line up includes the Settlement, the Borderers and several local emerging talents.
Cobden: Live Music and Dance is on at the Cobden Civic Hall from 8.30am to 11.30am.
Toys: The Warrnambool Toy Library is open for borrowing from 9.30am to 11.30am.
Bowls: Western District Bowls Division's semi-finals will be played on Saturday at Port Fairy Bowls Club between Koroit Blue and City Memorial Red and Terang Green and Warrnambool Gold.
Art: Warrnambool’s Outlaw Gallery are presenting 'Mentors & Makers', an annual exhibition showcasing the talents and efforts of both the Factory Arts artists with disabilities, and their mentors. Opening night is Saturday at 3pm.
SUNDAY
National: Warrnambool will be home to four different clean up sites as part of the national Clean Up Australia Day. The Coles-Younger carpark, Leys, Warrnambool East McDonalds and Warrnambool Ski Club will each be hosted by volunteers and clean up crews from 10am to 12 noon. Bring your own gloves.
Run: Warrnambool Athletic Club are hosting their annual Fun Run at Flagstaff Hill in support of the WSDS. Registrations are from 9am.
Golf: Warrnambool Golf Club will start its four-round club championships on Sunday.
Fishing: Warrnambool and District Angling Club are hosting a Hopkins Bream Competition from 7am.
Skipton: The Skipton Recreation Reserve will be home to the harFEST event on Sunday. AFL Football stars will be running a kicking competition on the day with an array of local food, beer and wine, live music, market stalls, sporting clinics and children’s activities from 11am to 5pm.
Markets: The Camperdown Rotary Market is on between 9am and 2pm in Camperdown and will include home produced goods including cakes, produce, plants, clothing and novelties. Warrnambool’s Lake Pertobe area will be home to an array of stalls at The Fresh Market from 9am to 1pm and the weekly undercover market will also offer an assortment of food, gifts, clothing and plant stalls from 8am to 1pm at the Showgrounds on Koroit Street in Warrnambool.
Camperdown: A number of artistic spaces in the Camperdown area are opening their studios to the public between 1pm and 4pm on Sunday. The town’s gothic-style clock tower is also open to the public between 9am and 2pm.
Trek: Trekkers can access the walk to the Mount Elephant Crater and appreciate views from 60 km in every direction. The walk from the car park to the crater rim is 2 km, return walk to the peak and around the crater rim is an additional 3 km.
