The Warrnambool duo are neck-and-neck for the series’ top honour leading into Sunday night’s final round in Western Australia.
McFadden revealed he was relishing the battle with Veal, a long-time friend.
“We’ve been mates for about 10 years, and we obviously both have egos that we’re trying to beat,” he said.

“It’ll be nice to have a beer and some dinner at some point afterwards and to not have the pressure of racing there.”
McFadden, a driver for sprintcar power Monte Motorsport, said he felt the pressure of leading the series but was oozing confidence.

“Our car speed has been really, really good but we just haven’t had a lot go our way.
“But if you qualify badly and get pushed back, that’s often where you’ll find crashes and whatnot.
“You make your own luck with good driving in sprintcar racing.”
