Student enrolments across south-west local government areas reflect little to no change compared to last year.
Warrnambool government schools rose by a mere six students from the 2017 figure of 3800. Glenelg Shire schools who are expecting a loss of just one student from last year’s total of 2201.
Moyne Shire student numbers dropped most in 2018 with enrolled pupil figures falling by 107 to 1100.
Southern Grampians Shire schools are expecting 77 more students to take their total to 1477. Corangamite Shire schools will welcome an additional 54 students to make up their 2200 total.
This year, 800 preps are expected to start school across the south-west and 600 students will be embarking on year 12. They join 972,000 Victorian students heading back to school.
