Samm Henderson, 26, of Owen Street, did not apply for bail in the Warrnambool Magistrates Court on Monday afternoon charged with burglary and theft of the milk and a television.
He was remanded in custody until February 12.
Custody management issues were listed as including a withdrawal from ice use, anxiety and depression.
Earlier: A WARRNAMBOOL man, 26, was due to appear in court on Monday over a theft charge.
The incident related to a burglary at a scrap metal yard, where he stole a $4 strawberry milk.
Warrnambool police Acting Sergeant Lachlan Barr said the man was arrested at 2.30am on Monday.
He said he would appear in the Warrnambool Magistrates Court for a bail/remand hearing.
He said the man had been charged with burglary and theft at a commercial premises in Watson Street, Warrnambool, where a television and container of strawberry milk had been stolen.
It's alleged the man gained entry to the Carl Eccles scrap metal office through a bathroom window.
