The annual colorful tongue-in-cheek videos have become as much news themselves as the lamb they promote.
This year’s Lamb Side Story video has generated much discussion about its take on the Sharks v Jets scene from the musical West Side Story to promote the hopeful view that a love of lamb unites people of all political persuasions.
Ms Gubbins said the annual videos aimed to arouse controversy and get people to look at them.
Those videos led to a spike in lamb sales soon after their release, she said.
“It does have an impact on sales,” Ms Gubbins said.
