The parade, hosted by the Friends of Flagstaff Hill, showcased clothing from the 1800’s with the maritime village providing a stunning backdrop.
Friends of Flagstaff Hill chairman Ron Sproston said the show featured male and female clothing from the 1830’s to 1890’s.
General day and evening wear from various social classes were part of the display, which also included workwear worn by gardeners and maids at the time.
Mr Sproston said men’s vests featured were quite decorative and heirlooms, including original jewellery and accessories, owned by volunteers’ families, were also worn.
The costumes are reproduced locally, with the hats and bonnets displayed made using original wooden moulds.
The fashion parades are held annually and are on again on January 15 and 22 at 6pm. To book call 5559 4600.
