“Glamping” or “fancy camping” has arrived in the south-west.
And it’s a hit.
Sarah Brown launched Bella Tent Co the week before Christmas and has been inundated with inquiries and bookings.
She has three five metre tents that are available for your next celebration or night away from home.
The tents are fitted out with bedding, mood lighting and stunning decorations to bring a touch of glamour to your camping experience.
“I had one guy come in and have a look at the set-up who said his wife won’t go camping, but she will if she sees this,” Miss Brown said.
She said there was a similar business operating in Mount Gambier, which gave her the idea to start Bella Tent Co.
“I think it’s been happening for a while (fancy camping) but I didn’t think there was anything like it in the south-west,” she said.
“We have inquiries for birthdays, anniversaries and a couple of weddings.”
A recent birthday party was a hit.
“All the girls were saying ‘this is the best party ever’.”
Miss Brown will bring the tent and set it up at a location chosen by the client.
She caters mainly for clients in Warrnambool and Port Fairy, but will consider bookings throughout the south-west.
Miss Brown has set up a Facebook page for her business.
She said bookings were available most weekends.
