The team of seven began their sweep of the Pertobe Road public toilets and surrounding grounds at 5am on Monday.
Campgrounds and beach-front areas were home to thousands of party-goers the previous night.
Despite large crowd numbers, Warrnambool Surfside Holiday Park cleaner Luke Kelly said the aftermath was remarkably mild.
“It’s been pretty good this year,” he said. “Even the state of the toilets wasn’t as bad as previous years.”
Mr Kelly said he and his team had collected hundreds of bags of rubbish during their six-hour shift.
“Plenty of cans, empty bottles, cartons and general rubbish,” he said. “Thankfully I only saw two broken glass bottles – they’re the worry.”
