Detective Senior Constable Richard Hughes, of the Warrnambool police crime investigation unit, said the offence was committed between 9am and 3pm on Monday at the Coulstock Street unit.
He said the offender had gained entry through an open kitchen window.
"Two iPods with a charger were taken from a bedroom as well as sunglasses and a silver bracelet from a lounge room," he said.
"The victim returned home shortly after 3pm, found the unit rummaged through and reported the burglary to police."
