The Knights extended their one-day winning streak to four on Saturday, with an unbeaten 82 from co-captain Angus Uwland lifting them across the line against Noorat.
Co-captain Johno Benallack said the Knights were content with their start but wary of those they’re yet to face.
“We probably haven’t played the top two who we think are Mortlake and Heytesbury,” he said.
“But we have batted out our 50 overs most weeks and we have some really promising young kids coming up as well.”
Cobden won the toss and sent Noorat into bat.
Benallack said the down-to-the-wire result was “very nerve-racking”.
“Noorat got off to a flyer and were 115 at drinks,” Benallack said.
“Our bowlers pegged them back in the middle and late overs and we kept them to 211. We passed them nine wickets down and were all out for 213.”
Benallack said Uwland, batting at number six, was the key to the Knights’ victory.
He also praised Jackson Rock, who contributed a valuable 42.
Weather threatened all four South West Cricket fixtures but only the Mortlake-Pomborneit clash was abandoned due to rain.
Terang posted a win over Bookaar just half an hour before rain started to fall.
