Alternative to Schoolies participants are counting down the days until they head to the Philippines.

Teens from across the region will head to Indangan in the Buhangin District on November 26 as part of the program, which began in 2010.

The students will learn new skills and develop a greater understanding of the world as they complete building works on a school orphanage boarding facility. It is located next to a school which south-west students constructed on earlier trips to the region.
