Thomas Coolwell, 19, of Portland, pleaded guilty in the Warrnambool Magistrates Court to a range of charges mostly involving unlicensed driving of unregistered vehicles.
He was already on a community corrections order but had refused to be involved with that court order in any way – up until now.
Magistrate Cynthia Toose said it would be hard to find a more spectacular breach of a CCO.
Police said Coolwell was caught driving unregistered cars and a motorbike in Portland on April 3, the following day and twice on April 11.
He was also involved in an incident with a former partner on February 26.
Coolwell had made coffees, spilled one, got angry, threw a glass at a wall smashing it and then threatened to smash a woman with a broom.
The woman punched him and Coolwell punched her back to to face – hard.
Defence counsel Amanda Chambers said that on June 12 there was an incident between Coolwell and another woman during which she called him a derogatory racial name.
Police claim Coolwell then punched the woman five times, she grabbed a knife and during a struggle she stabbed him to the leg leaving a small wound.
Ms Chambers said Coolwell denied punching the woman but he admitted grabbing her around the throat.
Magistrate Cynthia Toose imposed a 90-day jail term with 31 days already counted as served.
She said the existing corrections order would be extended and now included more conditions to include anger management and participation in a men's behaviour change program.
Coolwell said he would now be able to do the corrections order as his new girlfriend wanted him to attend.
