Andrew Young, 27, of Donovans Road, Warrnambool, pleaded guilty in the Koori division of the Warrnambool Magistrates Court to about 30 charges.
Magistrate Cynthia Toose said she would bail Young to attend at the Wulgunggo Ngalu Learning Place.
She told Young the learning centre was closed for three weeks over Christmas and she adjourned the further hearing of the case until December 11 to "see how you are travelling".
She released Young on the condition he live at the centre and not use a drug of dependence.
"This is your opportunity to attend the Wulgunggo Ngalu Learning Centre, knowing that last time you were there you lasted just two days," she said.
"Meth amphetamine is a difficult drug and may take a number of attempts to get off. You have expressed a desire to attend the centre and have the motivation of spending meaningful time with your children in future."
The magistrate warned Young he didn't stay at the centre he could expect to be jailed.
Young's offending involved driving offences, breaching a bail curfew, breaking into the Wesley-CBC Cricket Club facilities and stealing a blower and lawnmower and involvement in a burglary at South West Tools.
He also sold a Hummingbird fish finder for $250 and a dish washer for $350 on Gumtree and a buy, swap and sell Facebook page.
The fish finder wasn't delivered and the dish washer didn't work even though Young hooked it up to power to show the electronics worked.
He has nine pages of prior convictions and had already spent 73 days in custody.
