Police are still investigating the murder of Anwar Teriaki, who was shot and killed about 12.35am on Wednesday, August 9, only metres from his family's home on Hayfield Road.

It is believed the 21-year-old had arrived home shortly before the shooting.

Last week, detectives release frightening CCTV footage showing a silver-coloured sedan pulling up to the house shortly after Mr Teriaki had arrived home.

A number of people carrying guns are seen to confront the victim.

Mr Teriaki ran for his life along Coronet Avenue with two males chasing close behind him before they caught up and shot him dead.

Fairfax Media understands that Mr Teriaki, 21, was an associate of the Tiba crime family, who have been linked to at least six non-fatal shootings in the north-western suburbs since last September.

The first man is described as being about 170cm tall with a thin build and at the time was wearing a hooded jumper and light coloured pants.

The second was of the same height and build with his dark-coloured hair shaved at the back and sides and longer on top.

A digital composite image of a man they wish to speak to in relation to the shooting has been compiled and investigators are keen to speak to anyone who recognises him.
