The group ran a competition calling for young people to design images with anti-bullying messages to produce Snapchat filters. They will be released on Monday.
Users upload a photo of themselves with the filter to share the message with their friends. They include the words “stand up, speak up – bullying is not ok”, “stand up, speak up – say ‘no’ to bullying”, and “sprinkle compliments like confetti – let’s stop bullying”.
Member Caillin Moore said they wanted to make clear bullying was unacceptable and social media was an effective means to promote the message to young people who regularly used it.
