Cameron, who was already contracted to lead the Giants in 2018, will remain at the helm until at least 2020.
The former South Warrnambool footballer joined GWS in 2013 as senior assistant coach to AFL coaching great Kevin Sheedy and took over for the 2014 season.
He led the Giants to their first AFL finals appearance last year and is set to again feature in September, with the impressive outfit sitting third on the AFL ladder heading into round 18.
