Steph Townsend’s side has re-gained versatile centre Lisa Couch in its pursuit of Warrnambool and District Football Netball League glory.
Couch, alongside sister Joanna, was instrumental in the Blues’ push to a preliminary final last season.

“She’s played at that Hampden league level, which is obviously a very high standard,” Townsend said.
“Having played here last year, she understands the way we play and the ins and outs of what is happening.
“In general, her court awareness and ability to make play when it isn’t there is fantastic. I can put her anywhere – she can play centre, wing defence – anywhere.”
Townsend, into her second year as Nirranda coach, said Couch’s presence provided a confidence boost on court. “We know she’ll perform no matter where she plays,” she said.
