Comedian Ben Knight is performing The Parent/Teacher Interview at school fundraiser

Primary school teacher turned comedian Ben Knight is set to expose the truth behind what teachers really think about students – for a good cause.

The south-west funny man is performing at a fundraiser for Warrnambool Special Development School on Saturday.

The Parent/Teacher interview is the brainchild of Dirty Angel Comedy owner Aidan Nicholson who teaches at the school.

“Its a great opportunity for me to combine work with pleasure,” Mr Nicholson said. “I’m a PE (Physical Education) teacher at WSDS and also a part-time comedian. This is my first chance to blend the two.”

Mr Nicholson said funds raised from the event would go toward purchasing outdoor play equipment for the school.

“The State Government gives funding to build schools but the rest is up to you. We now need to fit out our sports ground with outdoor equipment.”

The comedy fundraiser starts at 8pm at Warrnambool’s Lighthouse Studio on Saturday 22 July.
