A working group that will provide input into the planned $400,000 redevelopment of the Portland Library is seeking members.

Portland Library manager Yvette Parker said the group would be instrumental in shaping the future layout of the library.

Ms Parker said she hoped to gather people from all walks of life to join the committee to ensure the needs of all library users were considered.

The redevelopment will be jointly funded by the Glenelg Shire Council and Victorian Government.
