But the temperature is nothing out of the ordinary for this time of year, according to Bureau of Meteorology senior forecaster Beren Bradshaw.

A top of 12 degrees is forecast for Saturday, with isolated showers in the morning expected.

You might want to add an extra blanket on Saturday night, with the mercury expected to drop to single digits.

There may be fog in the south-west on Sunday morning, with cloud cover to increase during the day and a top of 12C forecast.

On Sunday night winds are expected to increase, with a top of 14C forecast for Monday.

“Statewide it’s a pretty average winter – we’re not seeing anything out of the ordinary,” Ms Bradshaw said.
