The formal dresses have bought, hair and make up trials have been done for the girls and their partners have been measured up for their suits.
Students gathered at the Terang Civic Hall on Friday afternoon for a full dance rehearsal with the final practice set for Sunday afternoon.
Nine senior students from the Cobden campus will be partnered by Mercy Regional College students, people from Cooinda Terang and past Hampden Specialist School students.
The couples will tackle the Waves of Tory, the Carousel, the Mambo, the Jive and the Evening Three Step.
There will also be four page boys and two flower girls from the junior campus in Terang. Specialist School later years coordinator Annette Sedgley said the previous presentation ball was four years ago and the students were extremely excited about the night.
“I don’t think the nerves have kicked in yet,” she said.
She said the event was a chance to see what the students were capable of and could achieve. “It’s about the social side and also the bonding with other students,” she said.
“It’s also just about their confidence and to see that if they can master this then what can’t they do. It also makes them feel just like every other kid.”
The students have had nine weeks of rehearsals with trainers Trevor and Lesley Ellington.
Everyone in the community is invited to the ball on Friday night at 6.30pm and tickets are available at the door.
