Super Mover defeated War Story and Alamonteel in the cup which was transferred to Hamilton after stewards deemed the surface unsafe for racing at Edenhope.
Baker said Julius put in a sensational performance to win the 1600 metre race on Super Mover.
“It was a fantastic ride by Melissa,” she said.
“She drew barrier 11 in the 13 horses field and never panicked at any stage. She just let Super Mover work his way into the race.
“He's a good honest horse. He had feet and back issues when we got him from Sydney. It took him a while to get Super Mover right but he's as good as gold now.”
Julius shared the riding honours for the nine race program with Declan Bates and Aaron Lynch.
The three jockeys rode winning doubles.
Bates was successful on Captain Smooth and Waa Master while Julius won on Super Mover and Verreaux.
