The big drawcard was the Dachshund Dash, now in its 11th year, which drew about 1000 people to Southcombe Park for one of the most ridiculous racing events known to mankind.
The huge crowd cheered the record 73 entrants as the sausage dogs took part in a variety of events, including a jumps race.
The dash attract dachshunds and their owners from as far afield as Gippsland, Mount Gambier, and Echuca.
Also popular was the Biblio Art exhibition launch, which crammed close to 300 people into Blarney Books & Art.
The annual exhibition, which sees artists turn their favourite books into artistic inspiration, drew entries from around the country.
The winners were Peta Lloyd of Queensland and Penelope Lawry from NSW.
Friday night’s festival launch was also popular, as was the short play festival run by the Port Fairy Theatre Group.
People of all ages turned out on Sunday morning to take part in a fishing clinic run by the Port Fairy Angling Club.
There were also good crowds at Wishart Gallery for an antiques roadshow.
Wishart Gallery curator Gareth Colliton said more than 50 people brought along items to be valued, such as etchings, artworks, toys and jewellery.
Among the participants was one lucky shopper who purchased a second-hand ring at a local market and immediately headed to the antique roadshow to get it valued, where it was priced at four times what she had paid for it just hours earlier.
