The Eagles have had a near-perfect start to the season – their only blemish a one-goal loss to Camperdown – but Roth said early victories are key as they prepare to take on Port Fairy at Gardens Oval.
“It’s just important that we win week-in, week-out,” she said on Friday.
“We’ve got tough games coming up against undefeated Warrnambool, Koroit and even Hamilton.
“(With Port Fairy), they are going to have their day this season and win – I don’t want it to be tomorrow.”

The Eagles have gelled quickly this season, with the new-look outfit quickly establishing itself as a flag contender.
Roth credited an openness to change and versatility and open communication between players and coaches as key factors in the team’s robustness.
“They’ve really embraced it. I told the girls, ‘You’ve got no set positions’,” she said.
“At the same time, I’m giving the girls a fair bit of ownership with their play. I have experienced players and they need to feel their input is valued and I, as coach, embrace that feeling.”
