That was the assessment from Eagles coach Jody Roth after their 58-20 drubbing of South Warrnambool in Hampden open grade netball action.
“I was pleased we ran four quarters out but I think our biggest thing today was we rewarded our turnovers,” she said.
“That’s how we got the score up so high – the hard work the defenders did, we were able to bring it down the court.”
Annie Blackburn led the Eagles’ scoring, sinking 37 goals.
Her goal ring partner Skye Billings was also effective with 21.
Promising teenager Molly McKinnon played her first full game for the Eagles in a match in which they rattled a Roosters’ outfit coming off its first win in more than a season.
“It was really exciting for her and for the senior team because it gives us versatility,” Roth said of the multi-talented netballer and basketballer.
