Scott, a dairy farmer from Gerangamete, near Colac, was part of the inaugural AFLW season and took some time out of her busy workload to help film some females in football promotional material for Corangamite Shire.
Auskick programs are now commencing and are a great opportunity for young girls to kick start their careers in football.
Corangamite’s recreation development officer Lucy Vesey said the council was thrilled to have Scott to help promote females in football.
“With the AFL Women’s competition launching this year and a heavy interest growing in the region, there has never been a better time for young girls to get involved in football,” Ms Vesey said.
“Clubs across Corangamite are welcoming young girls to Auskick with programs available in Camperdown, Noorat, Terang, Derrinallum, Cobden, Simpson and Timboon.”
