RELATED: Passion the key to success
Making learning enjoyable is one of first-year teacher Isobel Stewart’s goals.
The 22-year-old is fulfilling her life-long career ambition, after gaining a teaching a position this year at the Hamilton Gray Street Primary School.
She graduated from Deakin University, Warrnambool on Thursday with a Distinction in her Bachelor of Education (Primary).
“I’ve wanted to be a teacher for as long as I can remember,” Ms Stewart said. “I love kids, I love learning and I loved school. I know a lot of kids don’t (love school) so I want to be a part of helping them to enjoy it and become life-long learners.”
Ms Stewart received the prestigious Alfred Deakin Medal for her academic achievement and service to the university and the community. She gave an address on behalf of all graduates thanking parents, friends and lecturers for their help and support during their studies.
