Kellie Gowland’s players will be aided by the return of former coach Hayley Plozza and another experienced player in Cloe Marr.
The young Demons finished eighth last season, but Gowland said spirits were high as the club focused its energy on more improvement.
“I’m really looking forward to my second year as a coach. It’ll be mainly great to have the girls back in the side that missed out last year through pregnancy,” she said.
“We’re mixing it with some younger girls who are coming through the ranks.
“Hopefully they combine well with the local girls we are bringing through.
“Improvement is what we’re looking for. I think we finished eighth last year and while we were blooding juniors, we were still a bit off where we’d like to be.”
Gowland expected the return of Plozza, Marr, Doolan and Podbury to “do wonders” for the growth of the young players.
“It should really progress their development even further,” she said.
