The Warriors have added some handy recruits to the mix, with former Deakin University spearhead Jimmy Crawford joining the ranks, as well as former Ovens and Murray league midfielder Bodie Hibberson, among others.
Crawford’s inclusion is timely, with power Warriors forward Chris Chambers looking at a delayed start to the season.
Second-year coach Josh Reichman said Old Collegians would learn from its grand final defeat to Nirranda, but said a new season meant a fresh go for the team.
“We’re just trying to get back to that form that we were in last year, (but) we’re not looking too far ahead,” he said.
“We’re obviously trying for top three and just to try to keep improving; try to build on that.
“The group always sets high standards.”
