The Port Fairy Folk Festival choir will be back in action this weekend.
It will be the choir's 11th year and around 120 singers are expected to join up.
Port Fairy's Lynda Beekhof has been part of the choir for the past five years and will line up again.
Ms Beekhof said it is a wonderful opportunity.
"Music gives people a real connection and it is very reassuring and exciting to sing as part of a choir and know you have that support around you," Ms Beekhof said.
"I think people should sing every day and try and sing with others as much as they can."
Members of the choir will get together for an hour and a half on both Saturday and Sunday to practice. On Monday, they will get the chance to perform for 15 minutes on stage 3 from 9.30am.
Leader of the festival choir is Castlemaine's Jane Thompson and James Rigby.
The pair have warmed up for the festival by bringing their Peace Choir from Castlemaine to Port Fairy.
The Peace Choir sang at the Lighthouse Theatre in Warrnambool on Thursday night before performing a number of songs in front of the Lecture Hall in Port Fairy on Friday morning.
"The Peace Choir welcomes people from all walks of life," Ms Thompson said.
"The group has a focus on including those who have some kind of social isolation. We have about 35 members in all and 20 of those have come here to Port Fairy which is great."
